CSO at Ravinia

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra began performing at Ravinia Park in November 1905, appearing semi-regularly through August 1931. The park then was closed for most of the Great Depression. In August 1936, the CSO helped to inaugurate the first season of the Ravinia Festival and has been in residence every summer since, save for 2020.
